PORTUGAL - Inter-Risco reaps 7.7x multiple on TvTel exit
Inter-Risco has reaped a 7.7x multiple and 30% IRR on its sale of broadcasting company TvTel to Portugal Telecom Media in a deal valued at approximately EUR 120m.
The initial investment was carried out in 2000 allowing the company to extend the coverage of its fibre-optic network and offer voice, internet and cable TV services. In 2006 the company expanded its coverage to the Greater Lisbon area.
This is Inter-Risco's second exit in the past six months following the divestment of Chipedia in a deal that generated a 37% IRR.
