GERMANY - Golden Gate's acquisition of Infineon's WLC business closes
Golden Gate Capital's EUR 243m acquisition of Infineon's wireline communications business, reported in unquote" in July, has officially closed.
As a result of this transaction, Infineon is expected to record a book gain of more than EUR 100m as a result of this transaction in the first quarter of its fiscal year ending September 30, 2010.
The carved-out wireline communications business is now renamed Lantiq Deutschland and remains headquartered in Neubiberg. The fables semiconductor business has over 800 patent families and approximately 900 employees around the globe.
