
SWEDEN - CapMan buys Cederroth
CapMan Buyout VIII has acquired the majority of the shares in Cederroth, a Swedish manufacturer and distributor of consumer products, from American listed Alberto-Culver Company, for an undisclosed sum. CapMan Mezzanine IV supplied mezzanine to support the deal.
The company provides local brands to local markets within the woundcare, household, health care, and personal care sectors. Its product portfolio consists of approximately 50 brands, including Salvequick, Bliw, Family Fresh, Samarin, Soraya, Asan and Grumme, amongst others. It operates in 30 European countries, of which Sweden is currently the largest single market, with the Nordic countries together representing some 67% of the company’s net sales. Cederroth has around 870 employees and generated net sales for 2007 of approximately EUR 188m.
