DENMARK - Axcel strengthens partner group
Axcel has hired Henrik Poulsen as deputy managing partner and a member of the group partners effective from 1 January 2009.
Poulsen joins the firm from KKR where he has worked since 2006 and been responsible for developing selected portfolio companies. Prior to joining KKR, Poulsen was the executive vice president of LEGO A/S. He has also held senior manager positions at McKinsey & Company.
At the same time, partner Vilhelm Hahn-Petersen has decided to leave Axcel and pursue a career outside of the private equity industry. During his time with Axcel, Hahn-Petersen has been responsible for the divestment of Thygesen Textile Group and the acquisition and development of EskoArtwork. He will gradually transfer his areas of responsibilities in Axcel to his colleagues before leaving the firm sometime in 2009.
