
HIG Capital launches European credit business
HIG Capital has launched in London the European operations of its US credit business, HIG WhiteHorse, and appointed Haseeb Aziz as managing director in the new unit.
HIG WhiteHorse will provide debt capital to mid-market companies. The mandates will vary from senior to subordinated debt and preferred equity, ranging from €10m to €100m. Targets must have revenues exceeding €50m. Capital will be drawn from a designated €1bn+ fund.
Haseeb Aziz will be managing director of the new business. He joins HIG from Hutton Collins Partners, where he was involved in originating, structuring and monitoring investments. Prior to Hutton Collins, Aziz worked for Merrill Lynch, Marakon, Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley.
