
UK - Carlyle acquires Cash Systems in £360m deal
The Carlyle Group, through its fund Carlyle Europe Partners III, has acquired Cash Systems, a provider of cash handling technology, from De La Rue Plc for an enterprise value of £360m.
Cash Systems designs, manufactures and services specialist equipment to sort, count, authenticate and dispense notes and coins for financial and retail institutions. Debt for the transaction was provided by Lloyds TSB, Société Générale, Calyon and GE Commercial Finance.
