SWEDEN - Sustainable Technology closes cleantech fund on EUR 58m
Sweden-based Sustainable Technology Fund has held a third and final close of its new cleantech vehicle, Fund 1 LP, on EUR 58m.
The vehicle attracted commitments from a range of international investors, as well as locally based LPS including the Sixths Swedish National Pension Fund (AP6) and the Third Swedish National Pension Fund (AP3).
Fund I LP was launched in January 2007 with a target size of EUR 50m to EUR 60m. It will have a life span of 8 years with a 2 year extension. Two investments have already been made to date: Swedbo Bioenergy in June 2007 and Suncore AB in June this year.
