
UK - Brookfield hires managing partner
Brookfield Asset Management has hired Leo van den Thillart as managing partner of private institutional equity.
Van den Thillart will be responsible for managing private equity client relationships and implementing fundraising strategies. He will be based in the London office.
Prior to joining Brookfield, he was senior managing director and global co-head of the private funds group at Bear Sterns (now JP Morgan). He was previously vice-chairman and executive director of Crane Capital Associates, a global private equity firm he helped found in 1997.
