SPAIN - Codere to float on 25 October
Gambling business Codere has received approval for its IPO from regulator CNMV. It is understood that the business will float a 25% stake. The price, to be set on 23 October, is expected to be set at around EUR 21-26 per share, valuing Codere at approximately EUR 1.3-1.4bn.
The flotation follows reports that the business needs extra muscle for further acquisitions in Europe and Latin America. However, the success of Codere's IPO may be at risk due to the company's debt - which has reportedly reached the EUR 700m mark in June.
