UK - LDC acquires Quantum Specials in £32.5m deal

LDC invested £14m in loans and shares, while the Yorkshire Bank provided a £18.5m debt package consisting of senior debt and working capital to support the transaction.

Quantum produces "special" drug formulations that are not readily available from drug manufacturers and supplies wholesalers, pharmacies, chemists, dispensing doctors, hospitals and veterinary surgeries in the UK. The company employs more than 100 people, and esimates sales revenues of £22m in 2009.
