LUXEMBOURG - AFINUM acquires Wallenborn
German private equity house AFINUM Management GmbH has acquired transport logistics firm Wallenborn Group in a deal valued at EUR 25-50m.
Headquartered in Munsbach and founded in 1920, Wallenborn specialises on the transport of airfreight (road feeder services) and high value goods by truck. The company employs 360 people and has a fleet of close to 300 trucks.
Previous owners Frantz Wallenborn and Dr Ludwig Bertsch will retain a minority stake in the company. The transaction was carried out through AFINUM Fünfte Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, and a senior debt package was provided by a consortium of local banks to support the deal.
