
UK - Hammonds boosts private equity team with two partnership appointments
Hammonds' private equity practice has appointed two new specialist partners. Tim Hewens and Nick Watson have both been promoted internally to the partnership. Hewens, based in the London office of the law firm, has significant experience in acting for both private equity houses and management teams on investments and exits. He joined Hammonds in June 2001. His recent transaction highlights include advising Aberdeen Asset Managers Private Equity on its £19m MBO of Purac (now Enpure), acting for LDC on its £27m investment in Commercial First, and advising management on the £13.5m BIMBO of Fisher Outdoor Leisure by ISIS Equity Partners.
