UK - TV3 to acquire Channel 6
Doughty Hanson-backed TV3, an Irish commercial TV channel, is to acquire Irish TV Channel 6.
The value of the deal, which is expected to close in Q3 of 2008, has not been disclosed. Doughty Hanson backed TV3's £265m buyout in 2006. The business had annual sales of €62.4m in 2007. Channel 6 was founded in 2006 and is the only non-subscription domestic digital channel in the Republic of Ireland.
