DENMARK - IK and Ratos-backed Superfos offloads US operations
IK Investment Partners and Ratos-owned packaging group Superfos' has sold its US operations, Superfos Packaging Inc., to Berry Plastics Corporation for an enterprise value of approximately USD 82m.
IK acquired Superfos in a EUR 363m take private in 1999. Danske Bank led a bank syndicate which provided around EUR 250m in debt to support the deal. During the ten year holding period, IK and Ratos has focused the group's operations on injection-moulded packaging.
Ratos' stake in Superfos is 33%.
