FRANCE - Former Wanadoo boss appointed partner by Sofinnova
Sofinnova Partners has announced the appointment of Olivier Sichel as partner.
Sichel has chaired French telecom group Wanadoo since 2002. He restructured the group’s activities across Europe and established the company’s telephone directory website, leading to a quadrupling of the company’s operating profit at the time of its merger with France Telecom. He later contributed to the development of the group’s ADSL capabilities. Prior to this Sichel was the CEO of e-commerce business alapage.com, which saw sales increase rapidly despite unfavourable market conditions.
Sichel has degrees from ESSEC and ENA.
