UK - MVM buys stake in Alliance Pharma Plc
MVM Life Science Partners has acquired just over 9% of AIM-listed pharmaceutical company Alliance Pharma Plc.
At the end of February, MVM had acquired 15,000,000 ordinary shares in the company at the price of 1p each.
Alliance Pharma has a portfolio of 35 prescription brands, which it built through acquisition of established niche brands. The company had reported sales of £21.8m for the year ending December 2008. Its main markets are the UK and Republic of Ireland, but it also sells to approximately 20 other countries.
