UK - BVCA approaches ex-FT editor
According to The Sunday Times, the BVCA has offered Andrew Gowers, former editor of the Financial Times, the job of chief executive. The news comes just a few days after Mark Fox, director of communications, announced he was leaving to take up the role of chief executive at the Business Services Association. The BVCA has been hunting for someone to take the top job for nearly two months, following the resignation of Peter Linthwaite in June. Gowers is currently head of corporate communications at Lehman Brothers. He edited the Financial Times from 2001 to 2005 and left after a dispute with Pearson, the title’s owner.
