UK – Fountain reaches first closing of maiden fund at EUR 75m

Over 90% of the commitments originated from institutional investors of which 75% are Ireland-based. These investors include the European Investment Fund, the National Pension Reserve Fund and Enterprise Ireland. A select number of high net worth individual investors also participated.

The Dublin and New York-based vehicle is set at a target of EUR 100m, will invest in Europe and will have a strong emphasis on the life science sector (specialty pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices and diagnostics) in Ireland. The fund will seek to commit between EUR 500,000 and EUR 7m per transaction.
