ITALY – BS Private Equity in sale of surveillance company
BS Private Equity has sold security firm Sicurglobal to Stirling Square Capital Partners, generating a money multiple of approximately 2.5x.
BS Private Equity acquired the company through a management buy-in in 2004, when it acquired and integrated 18 companies from their founders. It subsequently pursued an aggressive expansion strategy, executing 8 further add-on acquisitions, while strengthening the services to their clients with the application of advanced technologies.
Sicurglobal is among the largest players in the Italian surveillance and security market. The company reported a turnover of EUR 165m in 2007, almost twice the turnover at the time of the initial investment. It has a presence in 12 of the 20 Italian regions and has more than 2,500 employees.
