SLOVENIA - Mid Europa completes UPC acquisition
Mid Europa Partners has completed the acquisition of 100% of Slovenian cable and broadband operator UPC Slovenia from Liberty Global Inc, first reported in unquote" in May.
UPC provides analogue and digital cable as well as broadband, servicing approximately 40% of the pay TV households in the country through its nation-wide network.
Dragan Solak, head of SBB (the Serbian pay TV and broadband provider (acquired by Mid Europa in 2007) will become chairman of the newly acquired business.
