UK - Caudwell's mobile phone empire snapped up by private equity
The mobile phone empire of John Caudwell is to be acquired by three private equity groups according to a report in the Sunday Times.
The £1bn sales means that the distribution assets will be bought by Bain Capital and Providence Equity Partners, while Doughty Hanson will own the high-street chain, Phones4U.
