SWEDEN - EQT Opportunity acquires Granngården

EQT Opportunity has acquired Granngården, a Swedish retail chain, from Lantmännen, a group owned by 42,000 Swedish farmers, for an undisclosed sum.

Granngården’s product offering ranges from house and garden to pets and animals. The company distributes its products through 106 own-brand stores, and approximately 60 independent dealers. Headquarted in Malmö, it employs around 1,000 employees and generated a revenue of SEK 2.4bn in 2007.
