
Platina closes renewable energy fund on €209m
Renewable energy and turnaround investor Platina Partners LLP has reached the closing of its European Renewable Energy Fund (EREF) with total commitments of €209m.
EREF will invest in renewable energy projects across Europe at all stages, from development to construction and energy production.
To date, EREF has already completed nine investments with two already under construction or in operation: Orites wind farm (July 2009), a €170m 82 MW project which is the first wind farm and independent power producer in Cyprus, and Arico solar photovoltaic plant (November 2009), a €70m joint acquisition with Anemoi of an 11MWp PV project in Spain.
