NORWAY-Thommessen is No. 8 in Europe in the energy sector

Thommessen is one of the European law firms that has advised on the most deals in this area in 2005 and it is the only Norwegian firm represented on the industry-specific lists.

Swedish law firm Vinge has been active in the technology sector. In the same survey, it has been ranked number nine in terms of volume of technology transactions advised on.

'Bankers and lawyers will tell corporates they are top of the league tables in their sector. We thought it was long overdue that an independent verifier told companies who the top firms are,' says Caspar Hobbs, CEO of mergermarket, in a press release.
