UK - Jaguar and Land Rover in private equity sights
A number of private equity firms, including Cerberus Capital Management, Ripplewood Holdings and One Equity Partners have received financial data on Ford's luxury UK brands Jaguar and Land Rover. Ford hired KPMG at the end of June to prepare the books ahead of a possible sale. Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and HSBC were mandated in early June to explore a sale of the units. Over the weekend it was reported that a number of Middle East-based funds have also received information on Jaguar and Land Rover with a view to a bid.
