NETHERLANDS - Alternext to be launched on 4 September

Representing all the companies listed on Euronext's Alternext markets, the Alternext Index will not only be a tool for asset managers specialising in small and midcap stocks, but will also be an additional vector fpr the promotion of listed companies within an enlarged financial community. The index will be weighted for market capitalisation and be calculated on a daily basis.

Alternext, the European market dedicated to small and medium-sized businesses, currently counts 39 companies listed in Paris, with a market capitalisation totalling approximately EUR 2bn. Alternext Brussels will be welcoming Evadix, the first company to list there, on 15 June.
