ABN AMRO makes Spanish acquisition
ABN AMRO Capital has completed its first acquisition in Spain this year with a management buyoutof Spanish plumbing materials manufacturer, Nueva Terrain.Vitoria-based Nueva Terrain is a leading manufacturer of tubes and accessories for residentialplumbing, heating and drainage systems. A top-five player in the Spanish market, the companyhas 190 employees in five factories.
ABN AMRO Capital was active in the building materials sector in September 2004, with the£29m MBO of Celotex, a major UK manufacturer of rigid foam insulation board.Since 2001, ABN AMRO Capital has completed four acquisitions and one exit in Spain, last yearselling industrial cleaning services company UNICA to ISS for EUR 73m.
