UK - Synova backs buyout of The Lunan Group
Synova Capital has backed the buyout of The Lunan Group, the owner of handbag and accessories brands Fiorelli and Modalu. Synova invested alongside the group's CEO Stuart Lunan.
The deal is said to be worth between £15 and £30m. The Lunan Group acquired Fiorelli in 1995. The brand now has an estimated 13% share of the UK branded handbag market. Modalu was founded by the group in 2004 as a designer of leather handbags and accessories.
