SPAIN – Mercapital acquires Obras Subterraneas
It is understood that Mercapital has completed an investment in engineering firm Obras Subterraneas. The deal value was not disclosed but sources close to the deal estimate that the transaction could be worth EUR 150m including debt.
Obras Subterraneas was founded in the 1950s and initially specialised in the drilling of mining shafts, though it has since diversified into civil engineering works.
Financing for the transaction is reported to have come from Italian bank Unicredito and Banco Santander.Latest News
