UK - Barclays Ventures makes 3.6x on sale of Enigma Holidays to ISIS
The sale of Enigma Holidays Ltd to ISIS represents an exit for Barclays Ventures. The ТЃ22m deal generated a money multiple of 3.6x for Barclays Ventures.
Barclays Ventures formed Enigma Holidays Ltd through acquiring two different skiing holiday operators. Esprit Holidays, which is the UK’s leading family ski specialist, was acquired by Barclays Ventures in 2001. Total Ski, which concentrates on high quality chalets for the adult ski market, was acquired by Barclays Ventures in 2002. Under Barclays Ventures ownership, passenger numbers have grown from 5,000 passengers to 50,000 in the year ending April 2006. The business is based in Fleet, Hampshire.
