UK - Consortium to bid for Trader Media Group
CVC, Apax and Blackstone are believed to have submitted a bid for a minority shareholding in Trader Media Group, the newspapers, magazine and online unit of Guardian Media Group, whose flagship titles include The Guardian and the Observer. The flagship publication of Trader Media is the Auto Trader title. The bid is believed to value the group at £1.3bn. CVC replaced Candover, which dropped out of a controlled auction process earlier this month.
