UK - Permira closer to securing EMI deal
Market reports suggest that Permira is close to securing the estimated ТЃ2bn buyout of music giant EMI.
It remains unclear as to whether Permira will undertake the transaction alone or form a syndicate to facilitate the deal. London Stock Exchange listed-EMI is the record company behind names such as Coldplay and Robbie Williams and had revenues of £2.079bn to March 2006. Its share price has risen by 7.25p this morning to 293.75p.
