
GERMANY - The Foo launches EUR 25m sustainability fund
Munich-based venture firm The Foo has launched a EUR 25m sustainability fund, which will aim to make investments that fit social, ecological and economical sustainablility criteria.
According to Foo's Thomas Jaeger, while the fund aims to preserve capital, unlike similar philantrophic funds such as BonVenture it will also aim to generate profit and considers economic viability as one of its main criteria.
The fund seeks to attract 'responsible' capital from institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals. The GP will contribute 1% of the capital.
