UK - EPIC acquires Bighead Bonding Fasteners
EPIC has announced that Brian Giddings and Robin Bromley-Martin have acquired Bighead Bonding Fasteners.
Bighead, based in Bournemouth, is the UK's leading manufacturer of high quality fasteners supplying some of the best known names in UK industry.
The business, which has historically traded strongly and been successful, is now well positioned to grow rapidly, leveraging on the marketing and financial skills of Brian Giddings and Robin Bromley-Martin. Giddings, a marketing specialist, was brought into the business three years ago and has been its managing director since then.
The deal was put together by Corbett Keeling who introduced Bromley-Martin, one of its associates, to Giddings. Bromley-Martin, an engineer and financier by background, who will work part-time at BigHead immediately saw the potential of the business and teamed up with Giddings, advised by Corbett Keeling, to raise the funds required for the buyout.
The transaction was led on behalf of Corbett Keeling by Jim Keeling and legal advice to the management team was provided by Lester Aldridge. Investment was co-ordinated on behalf of EPIC by Rob Leeming and Giles Brand. EPIC was advised by Hammonds, Hazlewoods and Candesic.
