UK - Primary Capital acquires Haines Watts Business Recovery & Insolvency
Primary Capital is pleased to announce the £27m management buyout of Credere Limited, the vehicle formed to acquire the Haines Watts Business Recovery & Insolvency (HWBRI) practice.
HWBRI offers traditional business recovery and insolvency services as well as being a significant provider of individual voluntary arrangements (IVAs). HWBRI has also created a number of innovative workstreams and other complementary businesses, at various stages of development, targeting differing aspects of the corporate and personal UK debt markets. The business, an affiliate of the Haines Watts national accounting practice, was established in the early 1980s and grew as a number of partnerships until 2002 when it was merged into one. Based in Tankersley, near Sheffield, HWBRI currently employs around 120 staff (including 80 fee-earners) from its nine offices throughout England.
