EUROPE - HarbourVest promotes Soquar to vice president
HarbourVest Partners has promoted Abraham Soquar to vice president in the firm's London office.
Soquar joined HarbourVest in 2002 in London to focus on primary and secondary investments in Europe. During 2008 and 2009, Soquar worked in Hong Kong, most recently returning to London to focus on primary investments in Europe and emerging markets.
Soquar's appointment forms part of a series of promotions across the firm's offices globally, which includes those of Peter Lipson, Julie Ocko and Mary Trear to manging director, as well as Bruce Pixler and Catherine Shih to vice president.
Additionally, Traer was also named chief administrative officer, while Karin Lagerlund was named chief financial officer and Sebastiaan C. van den Berg was promoted to principal.
