AUSTRIA - gamma capital partners hire new mobile and internet partner
Austrian venture capital firm gamma capital partners has appointed Markus Wagner as partner.
As co-founder of Austrian mobile start-up wap.at he was CEO of the company later re-named Xidris between 2000 and 2004. Xidris subsequently merged with Austrian firms Sysis and Connovation to form 3united AG, which was acquired in 2006 by VeriSign Inc. for over EUR 55m. As a result, Markus moved to New York and became vice president responsible for product innovation and business development at VeriSign.
Since May 2007, Markus has been active as incubator-investor with his own company i5invest.
