UK - Bowmark generates 63% IRR on sale of travel group

DLJ Merchant Banking Partners has acquired Education and Adventure Travel (EAT), the UK school travel group, from Bowmark Capital for ТЃ100m. Bowmark generated an IRR of 63% and a multiple of 4x on the sale of the business.

Bowmark created EAT through the merger of the School Travel Group and Kingswood Educational Group in October 2007. The School Travel Group was the product of a buy-and-build play from Bowmark, which began with the acquistion of School Travel Service in December 2004.
