NORWAY - Ferd Private Equity Fund acquires D&F Group
FPEF has acquired the oil service company D&F Group from the founders and management of the company. The company is a leading supplier of services to the oil and gas industry on the Norwegian continental shelf within the areas of surface treatment, passive fire protection, insulation and scaffolding.
In 2005 D&F Group had revenues of NOK 544 million and an operating profit (EBIT) of NOK 45 million. The company’s order backlog at the end of 2005 was at a record level, which will secure high activity and growth in the next few years. D&F Group has recently also established itself in Hammerfest in order to service the current and future oil and gas activities in the Barents Sea region.
The company operates both nationally and internationally and is headquartered in Bergen, Norway. The company has approximately 1.100 employees.
