UK - BDO’s Aldridge joins up with Moulton
BDO Stoy Hayward corporate finance partner Mark Aldridge will be leaving the firm at the end of the year to team up with Jon Moulton in turnaround start-up Better Capital, unquote" can exclusively reveal. He will be one of half a dozen that Moulton plans to bring on board for his latest venture.
Better Capital was launched this month, just six weeks after Moulton dramatically left Alchemy Partners, which he founded 11 years ago. His new firm was hinted at in his departing letter, in which he stated he'd like to do things again, but 'better'. It is believed his new vehicle will seek £100-200m and is currently awaiting FSA clearance.
Aldridge will be the latest departure from BDO, though a source indicated the split was amicable. National head of corporate finance Stephen Bourne was asked to step down over the summer.
