ITALY - Electra Partners to sell Azelis
According to reports in the Financial Times Deutschland, Electra Partners has appointed BNP Paribas to handle the sale of Azelis, an Italian wholesaler of chemicals.
In 2003, Electra backed the MBO of Azelis from investors led by Permira for EUR 135m. The company was formed in 2001 from the merger of the French group Arnaud and the Italian Novochem. Last year, the company reported a turnover of EUR 840m.
