
SPAIN - Apax promotes Oriol Pinya to CEO
Apax Partners has promoted Oriol Pinya to the position of chief executive of the firm's operations in Spain.
Pinya joined the firm's London office in 1999, having previously worked at Boston Consulting Group and Merrill Lynch. He then returned to Spain and was made responsible for investments in the retail and consumer sectors and worked on deals such as Panrico, Vueling and Itevelesa. Pinya holds a degree in Business Administration from ESADE, a master CEMS from HEC and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
It is understood that Nicolás Bonilla, current president of the firm, will remain in his post.
