FRANCE - Eurazeo and its LPs invest EUR 500m equity in Elis deal
French buyout house Eurazeo and Eurazeo Co-Investment Partners (ECIP) provided around EUR 500m in equity out of a total transaction value of EUR 2.28bn for the tertiary buyout of textile rental business Elis.
PAI partners completed the EUR 1.5bn secondary buyout of the company in 2002. On that occasion, previous investor BC Partners re-invested to retain a 30% stake.
The original buyout by BC Partners, completed in 1997, valued the company at EUR 936m.
Elis rents and maintains professional clothing, sanitary equipment, carpets and water fountains, generating a turnover of approximately EUR 950m, and employing 13,000 staff.
