ITALY - Private equity firms court Fastweb
Reports in the Italian press suggest that three international private equity firms may be interested in buying Fastweb, Italy's second-largest fixed-line telephone company.
The US-based private equity firm has already got a foothold within the sector: it paid EUR 2.7bn for a 4.5% slice of Deutsche Telekom earlier this year.
