SWEDEN - SVCA reports 17% increase in Angel investments
In the Swedish Venture Capital Association (SVCA), Angel investments increased by 17% to SEK 101m in 2006. The SEK 101m were invested in 71 different businesses, with the average invested per business angel amounting to SEK 608,000. The number of angels that invested increased to 166 business angels, up 20% from 2005. According to SVCA 34% of total committed capital were invested in seed capital, and 59% to start-ups.
