NL- Bencis acquires childcare provider Catalpa

Catalpa aims to further grow the business and strengthen its current position in the Dutch childcare market and Bencis' investment is intended to support the company’s ambitions. The buyout firm will also enable the company to realise expansion through add-on acquisitions.

Catalpa was founded in 1975 and is one of the first private operators of childcare in the Netherlands. With 170 childcare locations for children between 0-13 years old, the company expects to realise total revenues of EUR 65m for 2006. The company employs over 2,200 employees.
