UK - Nick Sanders joins Moulton's Better Capital
Reports suggest that turnaround veteran Nick Sanders is the latest to join Moulton's new turnaround start-up, Better Capital, as head of its portfolio operations.
Last month, Sanders became chief executive of Deloro Stellite, a Duke Street Capital-backed company. He is due to gradually withdraw from the role. Sanders also worked with Moulton himself for seven years as chief executive of Alchemy-backed CompAir Group from 2002 until just after its sale last July to US-based Gardner Group.
Better Capital was launched in October, just six weeks after Moulton dramatically left Alchemy, which he founded 12 years ago. His new firm was hinted at in his departing letter, in which he stated he'd like to do things again, but 'better'.
It is believed his new vehicle is looking to raise £100m from the stock markets and is currently awaiting FSA clearance, expected in February 2010.
