DENMARK - VC-backed Santaris Pharma launches DKK 19.6m budget research collaboration

The Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation has awarded a grant of DKK 9.8m to the consortium and this will be matched by a further contribution from the university of Copenhagen and Santaris Pharma, which will result in an initial budget of DKK 19.6m (EUR 2.6m).

Established in 2003, Santaris Pharma AS is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing next generation drugs for the treatment of cancer, metabolic disorders and other serious diseases. The owners of the company include ABN AMRO Capital Life Sciences, Global Life Science Ventures, Vækstfonden, SPEF Venture, BankInvest, Novo Ventures, LD Pensions, Dansk Kapitalanlæg, Dansk Erhvervsinvestering, InnovationsKapital and Teknoinvest
