
UK - Standard Life European Private Equity announces half year results
Standard Life European Private Equity Trust has released interim results showing a strong performance for the six months ended 31st March 2006.
Since listing in May 2001, the Company’s NAV and share price have materially out-performed the two most relevant stock market indices, rising by 61.1% and 73% respectively, while the FTSE All-Share Index and the MSCI Europe Index (sterling adjusted) have risen by 6.8% and 9.5% respectively.
The company has net assets worth £253.1m and has invested in 43 private equity funds with a total value of £208.8m. During these six months the company has made 4 new fund commitments totaling £126.1m and a further £20.9m commitment to Candover 2005.
