
NORWAY - Ferd Private Equity Fund acquires Wonderland
Ferd Private Equity Fund (FPEF) has announced the acquisition of Wonderland AS. FPEF has committed capital of NOK 2bn and Wonderland is FPEF’s eighth acquisition.
Wonderland is situated at Åndalsnes, where it has its manufacturing facilities for high quality mattresses. The company has approximately 80 employees. Wonderland was established in 2004 and the products have been produced since 1969. The brand Wonderland was established in 1981.
In 2005, Wonderland had revenues of approximately NOK 212m and EBIT of approximately NOK 23.1m. 'The company has strengthened its position and operating profit considerably since the separation from Stokke,' says managing director of Wonderland AS, Steinar Loe.
Ferd Equity Partners AS is the exclusive adviser to FPEF. Ferd Equity Partners is headed by Gert Munthe, Morten Blix and Tore Rynning-Nielsen.
